Dental Bonding for Embarrassing Teeth

Posted .

Have you ever held back a smile because of an embarrassing tooth? Maybe it is discolored, chipped, or misshapen. The simple truth is that our teeth have a great deal to do with how positively we present ourselves, and how others perceive us. So, it is important to cover over anything that would make you hide that beautiful smile.

If you have a tooth (or teeth) that could be enhanced with tooth bonding or porcelain veneers, we can help you out. There are two options. The top-of-the-line treatment for hiding hideous teeth are porcelain veneers. Just as they are named, these are fronts for the teeth that are made from thin shells of porcelain. They are custom-made, will last a lifetime with proper care, and are the bee’s knees of smile beautification.

The other option, and just as permanent is a composite resin bond that is mixed in-office and applied to your teeth by your dentist. After shaping it to cover the defect it is hardened with a special light and polished to be indistinguishable from your originals. Composite resin bonding is more affordable than getting porcelain veneers and just as viable an option. One does not need to choose one over the other for the same effect. Each option has their pros and cons. Some people even get the resin bonding done while they are waiting for the porcelain veneers to be made.
